Shared Suffering

What are Hero WODs? Why do we do them?

Hero WODs are created in member of/in tribute to a first responder or member of the military who died in the line of duty. They’re usually longer or heavier, but overall more challenging than a typical CrossFit WOD. They’re designed that way to create a little more suffering in those working out as a way to say “thank you” to the person you’re doing them for.

We choose to do them to remember the person (or group of individuals in some cases) that lost their life saving ours. We choose to do them together because great friendships and bonds are created through shared suffering.

Happy Friday, Nikas! See you tomorrow morning for a little shared suffering.
