If You Work With Women, You Should Care About Menopause. Here’s Why I Do.

Let’s get something out of the way:
I’m not a woman. I’ve never experienced a hot flash, hormone crash, or night of sleep ruined by symptoms I can’t explain. I also don’t have a bunch of letters after my name.

So why the hell am I talking about menopause?

Because I work with women. Every single day.

And ignoring what they’re going through would be a disservice – not just as a coach, but as a decent human being.

The Problem Isn’t Just the Symptoms. It’s the Silence.

When I was growing up, menopause was mentioned maybe once in health class. That’s it.
Fast forward to now, and I hear the same story over and over again from the women we work with:

“Things just don’t work like they used to.”
“I haven’t changed anything, but I’m gaining weight.”
“I’m tired all the time and I don’t know why.”

Most think it’s their fault.
Maybe they’re doing something wrong?
They’re not.

They’re just navigating a phase of life that most people – coaches, doctors, partners, even friends – don’t fully understand.

I’m Not a Doctor. I’m a Translator.

Let me be clear: I’m not here to diagnose or treat anything. That’s not my lane.
But I am here to learn from the people who do, and help my clients actually apply what works.

I’ve been digging into the work of people like Dr. Mary Claire Haver and Dr. Stacy Sims. I’ve listened to the science, read the research, and heard the stories.
What I’m offering isn’t bro-science or personal opinion – it’s vetted, real-world application of what women need most in this stage of life:

🧠 Better education
💪 More strength
🍳 More protein
💤 More recovery
👊 And support that doesn’t blame them for struggling

If You’re a Woman in Midlife, Here’s What I Want You to Know

You’re not broken.
You’re not crazy.
You’re not alone.

What’s happening to your body is real. The symptoms, the weight gain, the mood shifts, the sleep issues – it’s not in your head.

It’s hormones. It’s biology. It’s life.

And it’s manageable – with the right approach.

What This Series Is About

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to get real about what works for women in midlife.
Not 25-year-olds on Instagram. Not random “fat-burning” hacks.
Real strategies for real women who want to:

  • Build strength
  • Regain energy
  • Feel like themselves again

We’ll cover nutrition, training, recovery, and mindset.
We’ll share stories from other women just like you.
And we’ll keep it simple, honest, and doable.

Why I’m Doing This

Because I care about the women in my life.
Because we care about the women in our gym.
Because we care about the results they get – and how they feel getting there.

This topic has been avoided for too long. So we’re talking about it.

If you’re a woman in midlife, I want you to know: we’ve got your back.
And if you’re a man reading this – your mom, sister, wife, or daughter might need this too. Forward it to them. Be part of the conversation.

Women deserve better info. So let’s start there.
